Star Wars Galaxy 5 Trading Card #39

Did two cards for the new Star Wars Galaxy 5 trading card set from Topps just released a week or so ago.

You never know what's going on off camera while you're watching a movie, do ya?

This one is my favorite. When I tried to get a translation from Jawanese it was really tough but a friend of mine has a friend and he has a friend that spoke the language so whew!

Greedo Shot First?

Just found this card with my signature from back when I did this Greedo trading card for Topps, so I hope no one minds my posting it again, this scan shows a little more detail, so I figured "what the heck"...here ya go.... and for the Illustration Friday folks I guess this is a sacrifice or sorts? Probably not, but someone is getting slaughtered anyway.....

Star Wars Sketch Cards

Here's a sample of the sketch cards I did for Topps Star Wars Heritage series. The series included actual sketches from quite a few other artist and were inserted randomly in a pack so that you had the possibility of owning an actual piece of art. If I remember right I did over 500 sketches, some artist did over a thousand (believe me 500 was enough for me) Fun project....

Favorite

Talk about a sprout out of control, good thing Hercules is around...
This is an old favorite of mine, a collaboration with artist Earl Norem. He's probably best known for his work on Conan. I did a search on Google but could not find if he has a site up. I did find lot's of scans from his "He-man" and "Transformers" days along with some of his "GI-Joe work. The best thing about this piece is I got to keep the original. Earl did Hercules and I did the background and all the cool skulls along with the monster I can't remember the name of.... oh well.
